Title: Trauma Informed Care 2.0 Training Series – Module 7: Self-Care for Providers

When: Thursday, June 20, 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:30 PM

Where: Zoom – Link will be provided the DAY of the training via email. This training will be in English, Spanish interpretation will be available.

Description: This 2-hour training builds on the concept of trauma-informed care by helping providers understand how self-care impacts daily interactions with a child. Stress reducing strategies are also provided, offering more ways to help a child care provider navigate the impact of working with children and families.

Topics that will be covered in today’s training:

• Secondary trauma
• Self-care
• Reflective practice

As a result of this training, participants will be able to:

• Describe the relationship between secondary trauma and self-care
• List 2 ideas for reducing stress
• Explain how to use reflective practice with children and families
