Title: Trauma Informed Care 2.0 Training Series – Module 6: Strengthening Families

When: Tuesday, June 18, 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:30 PM

Where: Zoom – Link will be provided the DAY of the training via email. This training will be in English, Spanish interpretation will be available.

Description: This 2-hour training builds on the concept of trauma-informed care by helping providers understand the risks and protective factors related to serving a Bridge child. Specific strategies for strengthening families are provided, offering more ways to engage the families of children in your care.

Topics that will be covered in today’s training:

• What to know about a child in foster care
• 5 ways to strengthen families
• How to refer a child for services

As a result of this training, participants will be able to:

• List 2 risk factors for a child in foster care
• Name 2 ways to strengthen families
• Provide a simple explanation of the referral process for specialized child services
