Title: Trauma Informed Care 2.0 Training Series – Module 5: Responding to Childhood Trauma, Part 2

When: Thursday, June 13, 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:30 PM

Where: Zoom – Link will be provided the DAY of the training via email. This training will be in English, Spanish interpretation will be available.

Description: This 2-hour training builds on the concept of trauma-informed care by helping providers understand that a child’s behavior is communication. Providers will learn how to be more empathetic with a child as well as how to show empathy towards a child displaying challenging behaviors.

Topics that will be covered in today’s training:

• Understanding children’s behavior
• Using Empathy with children

As a result of this training, participants will be able to:

• List 2 possible messages children communicate with their behavior
• Define empathy
