Title: Trauma Informed Care 2.0 Training Series – Module 3: Identifying Childhood Trauma
When: Thursday, June 6, 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:30 PM
Where: Zoom – Link will be provided the DAY of the training via email. This training will be in English, Spanish interpretation will be available.
Description: This 2-hour training builds on the concept of trauma-informed care as it helps providers identify trauma behaviors in young children. Providers will learn about explicit and implicit memories as well as normal stress responses in children. Specific examples of dysregulated behaviors will be provided and strategies to create a safe environment for children will be discussed.
Topics that will be covered in today’s training:
- Identifying trauma at different ages
- Creating a safe environment for children
As a result of this training, participants will be able to:
- Explain the difference between explicit and implicit memories
- List 2 examples of how trauma can affect a child’s behavior
- Describe 1 way to create a safe environment for children
