Title: Trauma Informed Care 2.0 Training Series – Module 2: How Trauma Impacts Development, Part 2
When: Tuesday, June 4, 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:30 PM
Where: Zoom – Link will be provided the DAY of the training via email. This training will be in English, Spanish interpretation will be available.
Description: This 2-hour training builds on the concept of trauma-informed care and continues the discussion of how trauma impacts a child’s early development, particularly as it relates to the stress response system, sensory system and attachment.
Topics that will be covered in today’s training:
- How trauma impacts development: Attachment, Stress Response System and Sensory System
As a result of this training, participants will be able to:
- Explain the difference between a secure and insecure attachment
- Describe the impact of stress on the body
- Describe the relationship between trauma “triggers” and the environment
