Our Child Care Resource and Referral Service (R&R) is here to help you and your family locate quality child care in Compton, Gardena, Hawthorne, Inglewood, Lawndale, Lynwood, South Los Angeles and surrounding areas. We provide services in the following area codes:

We provide FREE referrals to licensed centers and family child care homes that meet your families’ unique needs, including location, service hours, cost, special needs, and other factors. The R&R department also provides information critical to navigating the complex child care system. If you need help finding child care referrals and additional support services, please contact a Referral Specialist during our regular business hours, Monday –Thursday 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Fridays 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at (888) KIDS-247 OR access our online referral services by clicking on the “Begin Online Child Care Search” button below.
Note: Families participating in California’s welfare-to-work program can receive child care information and assistance from Crystal Stairs’ staff located in the Department of Public Social Services (DPSS) offices. In need of other support services outside of child care such as housing, health care, etc.? Crystal Stairs staff also provide referrals to other community-based support services.
