Find Child Care: Child Care Resources for Families

Our Child Care Resource and Referral Service (R&R) helps parents in South Los Angeles, Inglewood, Hawthorne, Gardena, and Lawndale to find child care.

Families receive free referrals to licensed centers and family child care homes that meet their needs in terms of location, service hours, cost, special care needs, and other factors. To assure that parents have choices, R&R staff interviews new child care service providers and regularly contacts active providers to maintain a comprehensive, up-to-date inventory of services available. Parents also receive information on how to identify and select quality child care.

Families participating in California’s welfare-to-work program can receive child care information and assistance from Crystal Stairs' staff located in four local welfare offices.

Recognizing our role as a community partner, Crystal Stairs staff also provide referrals to other community-based support services to help meet the needs of our families.
